Mission Statement
The Peter Tiboris Legacy Scholarship was established in honor of the founder of MidAmerica Productions, Inc., whose journey began in the small town of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and was guided by a lifelong dream of performing on the stage of Carnegie Hall. While Peter’s path ultimately led him to build opportunities for others, his belief in the transformative power of the performing arts remained central to everything he did. Peter believed that dedication, discipline, and passion for the arts deserve opportunity, and that financial circumstance should never be a barrier to meaningful artistic experiences.
He understood that talent and commitment exist at every stage of life, and that access creates possibility. Awarded as a credit of up to $10,000 applied to a participating group’s final invoice, this scholarship is intended to reduce financial barriers and directly support performers by expanding access to performance, training, and artistic growth. Administration Guidelines

In Honor of: Peter Tiboris, Founder
Purpose
The Peter Tiboris Legacy Scholarship honors the founder of MidAmerica Productions, Inc., and his belief that dedication, discipline, and passion for the performing arts deserve opportunity. The scholarship is intended to reduce financial barriers to participation and expand access to meaningful artistic experiences for performers.
Award Structure

Award Amount: Up to $10,000
-
Form of Award: One-time credit applied to a participating group’s final MidAmerica Productions invoice

Frequency: Awarded annually, or as determined by MidAmerica Productions
Eligibility
-
One application per participating group.

Recipient must be a group already contracted and committed to a MidAmerica Productions program or performance, with a minimum of ten registered participants.

The group must be in good standing with no outstanding disputes or payment issues.

The scholarship is not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.

Applications must be submitted before September 1st, 2026.
Use of Funds

The scholarship credit is intended to directly benefit performers by reducing participation-related expenses, including but not limited to program or performance fees, travel or lodging costs, and training or production-related expenses.

The credit may not be applied to general administrative or unrelated operating costs.

The recipient group is selected at the discretion of MidAmerica Productions leadership.
Selection Process

The scholarship may be awarded through invitation-only or internal selection.

Three semi-finalists will be selected and interviewed via Zoom by Stephanie Tiboris, Peter Tiboris’s daughter, and James Redcay, Chief Executive Officer of MidAmerica Productions.

Administration & Accounting

The scholarship shall be recorded internally as “Peter Tiboris Legacy Scholarship” and applied as a clearly identified credit on the final invoice.

Supporting documentation shall include an award notification letter and updated invoice reflecting the credit.

The scholarship is a company-sponsored award and is not a charitable donation.
Publicity

Public acknowledgment of the scholarship or recipient is optional and determined by MidAmerica Productions.

By accepting the Peter Tiboris Legacy Scholarship, the recipient agrees to participate in reasonable publicity related to the scholarship, including interviews, photographs, video recordings, and/or written profiles for use in MidAmerica Productions’ promotional, marketing, and educational materials, including print, digital, and social media.

The recipient grants MidAmerica Productions permission to use their name, likeness, image, voice, and biographical information for these purposes without additional compensation.
