
2027 Masterclass Information
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s passing, MidAmerica Productions is offering a $200 discount on our May 9, 2027 package for all registered performers.
Perform in a special masterclass hosted by MidAmerica Productions as part of our May 9, 2027 concert residency. All participants will be invited to audition and attend the masterclass, with up to six singers selected to perform and work directly with our panel of New York City-based music professionals. Take part in a one-hour question-and-answer session with our masterclass professionals and New York City-based arts management agencies. This session will provide all participants with valuable insight into the classical music industry and the experience of working as a professional performer.

Audition & Registration Information

Auditionees are required to submit:
-
Two works in contrasting styles that showcase their voice and musical abilities. One of the selections must be an aria from either an opera or oratorio.​

A performance CV. ​

Concert registration and deposit.

With your audition materials, please be sure to include an introduction including your name and works.

At least one of the submitted works must be performed in a language other than English.

In order to be considered for the masterclass, all auditionees must complete their registration and submit their audition particulars by October 1, 2026.

We encourage auditionees to select works, or excerpts from larger works, that are approximately three minutes or less in length while still effectively demonstrating their vocal abilities and artistry.
​
Selections may be performed with or without accompaniment. If accompaniment is used, we ask that it be piano accompaniment only. You will need to submit your audition as a link to an unlisted YouTube video or another platform where the audition can be easily viewed without requiring a download. ​

*By submitting your audition and registering for the masterclass, you also agree to register and perform in the chorus for the May 9, 2027 Carnegie Hall performance. Regardless of whether you are selected to perform in the masterclass.
