Sara Wunsch's Bio
Sara Wunsch discovered her passion for music as a flutist in marching/concert band and a performer in the musical theatre program of her high school. She studied classical voice at California State University, Fullerton, then finished her Bachelor of Arts in Music at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She earned her Master of Music in Music Education from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music and later studied as a librettist-lyricist-composer through the Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective in Montréal, Canada.
Sara has performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and Uppsala Cathedral under the baton of John Williams, Sir John Rutter, Keith Lockhart, and Nicole Baker, along with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, The Boston Pops Orchestra, New England Symphonic Ensemble, and the Stockholm Concert Orchestra.
Sara has worked as a music teacher in elementary and secondary schools and as a vocal and orchestral musical director for musicals and operettas. She has also been a vocal coach and is the founder of Broadway Music Theory, which teaches musical theatre performers how to read music.
