Social Media, Public Relations, and Publications Assistant

Join our team at MidAmerica Productions as a Social Media, Public Relations, and Publications Assistant! We're looking for a dedicated, passionate, and detail-oriented music lover eager to kickstart their career in the arts. In this remote position, you'll have the opportunity to significantly impact our performers' lives by managing our social media presence, supporting local public relations efforts, and assisting with publicity and playbill asset creation.

As our Social Media, Public Relations, and Publications Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in audience development. In the realm of social media, you'll take charge of writing and scheduling engaging posts for MidAmerica's Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok pages. Your skills in public relations will shine as you write and pitch press releases for all participating choirs in their respective local markets. Furthermore, you'll have the opportunity to compile all our concert playbills by collecting, proofing, and editing all materials.

A background in classical music is preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree is necessary.

MidAmerica Productions, Inc. and MidAm International, Inc. in NYC will celebrate their 41st season of concerts in 2024 and have produced and presented more than 1,600 concerts worldwide, including almost 700 in historic Carnegie Hall, as well as music tours and residencies in Honolulu, Vienna/Salzburg, Florence/Verona, Paris, Prague/Berlin, Lisbon/Porto, Warsaw/Krakow, London/Oxford, Athens and with the International Festival of the Aegean on the Island of Syros, Greece. The Founder and General Music Director of MidAmerica Productions and MidAm International is Peter Tiboris.

Appointment Details: This is a full-time remote appointment. Starting salary range $45,000-$55,000 based on work experience. While MidAmerica Productions operates remotely, some work in NYC during concert weekends at Carnegie Hall will occur. Additional compensation will be provided for all travel and expenses.
